Restaurant in Bicester to close

A chain restaurant located in Pioneer Square has closed and the takeaway service is no longer taking orders.

Wildwood, which has 4* reviews, served stone-baked pizza, pasta, grills and salads, and delivered via JustEat and UberEats.

On Tuesday, Wildwood’s parent company Tasty reported that its financial performance “continues to be inhibited by a tail of underperforming sites, despite efforts at improving operational performance”.

The Tasty Group announced that it plans to close around 20 restaurants after a “challenging” start to the year, and only 30 of its locations will continue to operate by the end of the year.

It is not known if staff will be relocated to its other remaining locations.
