New bus service from Bicester to the Kassam Stadium to be trialled
Oxford United Football Club have announced that a new bus service for football fans in Bicester is to be trialled.
In an email seen by Bicester.news following a survey of fans, the club announced that there is sufficient interest to run the service, on a trial basis for league matches, and based on the potential level of demand, two double decker buses on this route will run starting this
Saturday for the visit of Norwich City.
The email stated “Oxford United Football Club underwrite the service operated by Thames Travel and to make it viable, seniors are requested to make a voluntary donation of £4 for the return trip. Seniors should tap on with their bus pass in the normal manner on entry and a volunteer will collect their donation in cash and issue a return ticket which is required for entry on the journey back to Bicester when those with return tickets have priority over anyone wishing just to return.”
