Feedback sought for £4.25 million Bicester Market Square transformation

Cherwell District Council officers are looking to engage as many members of the Bicester local community as possible to help shape the final plans for a major investment in Bicester.

The project, which is currently in design phase, was given approval in September 2023 to appoint professional town centre regeneration consultants to start necessary studies, work up the plans and designs and engage with local businesses and residents to agree on the best approach.

CDC stated that from March 2024, planners will release a timetable of engagement events that will take place during 2024. Councillor Donna Ford, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said: "We’re excited to move our regeneration plans forward and find the right partners to help rejuvenate Bicester town centre. Essential to the success of this project is the input from our local businesses and residents, and our Bicester Town Centre project team has visited businesses in market square to talk about the project and explain how they can get involved.”
