Cyclists could be allowed to ride on Bicester shopping street
Edit: Decision has been deferred by OCC [26/4]
A shopping street that has banned cycling for three decades could be opened up to those riding bicycles, if a decision by Oxfordshire County Council goes ahead in a council management meeting at 10am tomorrow (Thursday 24th April).
The Experimental Traffic Order, which would affect Sheep Street, will last 6 months before a decision is taken on allowing cycling permanently.
Donna Ward, a local councillor for Bicester East said the decision was wrong and being made "despite 65 per cent of those who have responded being against the ETO”.
